  • On the evening of Sept. 9, a Bradley safety cruiser struck a parked dually truck on Cooper Street. The cruiser’s passenger side mirror swiped the rear of the truck. A similar accident occurred on Sept. 10 at 5:36 p.m., when another Bradley safety cruiser merging into the left turn lane hit the driver’s side tailgate of a truck next to them with the cruiser’s side mirror. The drivers made eye contact, but the truck left the scene before the safety cruiser driver reported the incident.
  • On Sept. 15 at 4:49 p.m., BUPD took a non-Bradley-affiliated individual into custody after they had been reportedly publicly urinating. A CVS employee called BUPD to assess the situation. BUPD said the individual had been known to panhandle in the area and had two warrants related to trespassing in Campustown. BUPD arrested the individual on account of the warrants and booked him at Peoria County Jail. This is his 18th arrest in the county jail in the last five years. The individual is still in custody.
  • On the night of Sept. 15, at 12:35 a.m., an anonymous report was made for three intoxicated unaffiliated individuals behind the Shell gas station in Campus Town. BUPD investigated and found two males crowding around a female lying down in the parking lot. They were in possession of Hennessy and Patron, which was effectively dumped out. BUPD said they were all okay and gave the individuals a ride back to their homes.
  • On Sept. 13 at 10:02 p.m., a non-Bradley-affiliated individual was reportedly filling a bucket with five gallons of water from a student residence’s spigot. The five students living at the house reported the individual loading the bucket into a white pickup truck. The individual was described to be wearing a Sherman Williams t-shirt and cargo pants. BUPD has not yet located the individual.
  • On Sept. 9 at 1:13 p.m., a 16-year-old boy flagged down BUPD after his bus left him at the Shea Stadium after Bradley’s soccer game. The individual attends Pekin Community High School and claimed he couldn’t find anyone in his group before they left to return to their school. A BUPD officer at the event contacted dispatch and the bus successfully turned around and picked up the student.
