On Sept. 22 at 11:18 a.m., BUPD reported a call from their non-emergency number about a non-Bradley-affiliated individual exposing himself to another non-affiliated woman at the CVS in Campustown. The suspect approached the woman in CVS and made conversation before flashing the victim in an empty aisle. BUPD reported a CVS employee had recorded the suspect wandering around the store after the incident, leaving in his car. The individual was arrested on Sept. 24 and charged with disorderly conduct and public indecency.
On the night of Sept. 20, BUPD spotted a driver in a vehicle fleeing from Illinois State Police. The driver, a non-Bradley-affiliated individual, was reported to be intoxicated and naked from the waist down while parked at the liquor store in Campustown. BUPD called in ISP. Upon arrival, a trooper attempted to grab the individual and they resisted. The trooper tased the individual and took them into custody, where they face a variety of charges.
On Sept. 18 at 9:36 p.m., BUPD and the Peoria Police Department responded to a one-round ShotSpotter activation. BUPD searched the area where the shot was reported, which was the backyard of a non-Bradley-affiliated individual. BUPD and PPD did not find anything, and when they talked to the owner of the house, the individual claimed that he thought it was fireworks from the neighbors. A community advisor alert was sent to Bradley students after the incident. A follow-up alert the next day revealed that the shot was officially determined to have been fireworks.
On Sept. 21 at 2:53 a.m., BUPD got a report that a student in University Hall had consumed a cannabis cookie and felt lightheaded and dizzy. Paramedics responded to the call and assessed that the student had consumed 100 milligrams of THC. Paramedics reported that the student was able to answer most questions, but there was a prolonged response between each statement. The student was transported to Carle Methodist Hospital.
