Soccer tops Michigan State in exhibition

Bradley traveled to East Lansing, Michigan and earned a 2-1 win on Sunday against Michigan State. The Spartans reached the NCAA semifinals last fall. Junior Gerit Wintermeyer netted both goals for the Braves. John Pollifrone, David Kovacevic and Roman Schindler picked up assists on Wintermeyer’s goals.

Bradley will host Eastern Illinois for a spring match 2 p.m. against Valparaiso tomorrow at Shea Stadium.

Mike Tauchman makes Yankees opening day roster

Former Bradley baseball outfielder Mike Tauchman earned a spot on the New York Yankees Opening Day roster as the fourth outfielder. He has appeared in four games and is batting .100. While at Bradley, he was an ABCA All-American in 2013. He left after that season to enter the MLB Draft. Tauchman is currently the only former Brave on the active roster in the MLB.

Walt Lemon Jr. finds late season success with hometown Bulls

Former Bradley basketball player Walt Lemon signed a 10-day contract with the Chicago Bulls last week. On Wednesday’s game against the Wizards, Lemon scored 24 points and eight assists. He is currently averaging 30.3 minutes a game.
