Football season has kicked off, and college and NFL play is underway. The Scout Sports staff has picked who will win the Super Bowl this season.

Kansas City Chiefs

By Latif Love

The Chiefs will be one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl this season—and rightfully so. Since quarterback Patrick Mahomes was drafted in 2017, the Chiefs have been to five Super Bowls and seven straight AFC championship games.

That trend is not ending this year.

They’ll be among the last four teams at minimum, and as long as Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Andy Reid are in town, they’re a safe bet to hoist the Lombardi. Kansas City returns an elite defense, has improved its offensive line and looks to have a healthy weapons room. The Chiefs will be looking for vengeance after getting embarrassed in the Super Bowl last season, and have everything they need to do so.

Philadelphia Eagles

By Ethan Diamond

The Philadelphia Eagles are my pick to repeat and win the Super Bowl this season. After struggling in 2023 despite a hot start, Philadelphia returned strong in 2024, posting a 14-3 record and steamrolling everyone in the playoffs, including blowing out the back-to-back champion Chiefs to capture their second Super Bowl.

The Eagles improved in the offseason, adding instant impact players in linebacker Jihaad Campbell and safety Andrew Mukuba in the draft. While the team lost two key pieces on the defensive line in Josh Sweat and Milton Williams, they have enough depth to overcome those losses. Not to mention having one of the best defensive minds in the sport in Vic Fangio coaching the group.

Offensively, this team remains in great shape. While it’s hard to expect that Saquon Barkley repeats his performance from last year, he should still be one of the most productive running backs in the league. Jalen Hurts still has AJ Brown and Devonta Smith to throw to as well. It would not surprise me if Philadelphia could take advantage of a weaker conference and repeat itself as a Super Bowl champion.

Buffalo Bills

By Cristina Solano

With one of the most dynamic quarterbacks in the NFL, the Buffalo Bills are the top contender for winning the Super Bowl this season. Josh Allen’s chemistry with his younger receivers is a huge contributor to their success. Those receivers, such as Khalil Shakir and Dalton Kincaid, are developing fast.

While they may have lost two out of their three pre-season games, the players used in those two games were the backups for the star players and their rookies. This also contributed to the coaches becoming aware of any flaws to work on in case any issues were to occur where their starting players needed to come out and the backups sub in. With a veteran core that is running out of time and hungry for a ring, there is definitely an urgent, title-focused push this season in which they will achieve.

Baltimore Ravens

By Mark Wagner

After losing in the divisional round of the playoffs last year, the Ravens are primed to make a run and win the Super Bowl this time. In quarterback Lamar Jackson’s eighth season in Baltimore, the team looks as strong as ever. Running back Derrick Henry has shown no signs of slowing down even at 31, Zay Flowers and Mark Andrews remain consistent options at wide receiver and tight end, and the offensive line is nothing to sneeze at, either.

The defense is also full of quality, with a solid front seven and one of the best secondaries in the entire league. While the AFC is as competitive as ever this year, Baltimore’s Super Bowl aspirations are no less than those of prior seasons. As of now, this team is one of the favorites to go all the way and secure their first Super Bowl victory since the 2012 season.
