- On April 18 at 1:51 a.m., unknown individuals stole a student’s unattended motorcycle, which had been secured in the Duryea Parking Deck on April 14. The vehicle was repainted and recovered in Texas on April 23, where it had been abandoned in a bank parking lot. Local authorities identified it by running the vehicle identification number, confirming it was the same motorcycle reported stolen by BUPD. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
- On April 25 at 10:15 p.m., resident advisors conducting a room search in Lovelace Hall discovered a bag containing 31.57 grams of marijuana. They confiscated the cannabis along with a pink rolling tray, a cannabis grinder and a cigarillo that were also found in the room. All items were turned over to BUPD, where they tested positive for THC. No charges will be forthcoming as a result of the incident.
- On April 24 at 4:15 p.m., a BUPD officer was flagged down by the manager of Starbucks in Campustown, who reported three non-Bradley-affiliated individuals loitering outside the business and refusing to leave. At the manager’s request, the individuals were banned from Campustown property and sent on their way. Four days later, on April 28 at 1 p.m., one of the banned individuals returned. Responding to another call from the manager, BUPD officers found the man consuming alcohol in front of the Starbucks. He was issued a municipal ordinance violation notice for open alcohol and reminded that he is not allowed on the property.
- On April 23 at 3 a.m., a student heard an animal screeching outside their home but chose not to investigate. Later that day, a neighbor, also a Bradley student, noticed what appeared to be a dead bird hanging from a tree branch while walking their dog. The neighbor informed the residents of the home, who were reportedly disturbed to discover the bird was suspended by a cord tied in a noose-like fashion around its neck. According to the residents, they have not had any recent conflicts or issues with anyone that might explain the incident. BUPD has no suspects at this time.
